LeanBooks is built on the same principle as all LeanTools apps: your data is your data. That's not a tagline — it's a hard architectural constraint we imposed on ourselves from the start.
Data We Collect
LeanBooks does not collect any personal data. All book data is stored exclusively on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to your library, lending records, wishlist, or any other content you create in the app.
iCloud Sync
When you use iCloud sync, your data is transferred via Apple's iCloud infrastructure under Apple's privacy terms. We do not operate any servers involved in this process.
Analytics
LeanBooks does not use any third-party analytics SDKs. We use App Store Connect's built-in aggregate statistics — provided by Apple — to understand general usage trends. This data is anonymised and aggregated by Apple before we see it.
Purchases
LeanBooks Plus subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple via In-App Purchase. We do not see or store your payment information.
